Joca_Georgia Guerra-Peixe

Joca_Georgia Guerra-Peixe creates films that transcend time — because they are made of people, soul, and stories.

Joca released her first feature documentary, "O Samba que Mora em Mim" ("The Samba Within Me"), in 2011. The film was screened at international festivals and won the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival, IN-EDIT Barcelona, and the Special Jury Prize at the 34th São Paulo International Film Festival. She is currently developing her first fiction feature, "Última Chance" ("Last Chance"), inspired by the real-life story of Brazilian basketball legends Paula and Hortência.

For over 20 years she worked as a director for advertising films. Joca stands out for transforming real stories into powerful brand films — marked by aesthetic care, experimentation with new languages, and a deeply human, sensitive gaze. Between 2010 and 2023, her work earned 17 Cannes Lions, 4 LIA Awards, 1 Gold and 2 Silver trophies at the Prêmio Colunistas, as well as 5 El Ojo and 4 Wave Festival awards.

Now back at Dlktsn, she brings her storytelling approach — combining advertising with documentary insight, real-life narratives, and branded content — through a unique way of seeing, producing, and delivering. Her directing style is her signature: grounded in truth, exchange, and respect.
